From Samseongyo Stream to the Cheonggyecheon Stream – enjoy a care free walk.

We begin our tour near Hansung University Station (한성대입구역) and will walk along the Samseongyo Stream. After approximately 3.5 kilometers, it connects to the Cheonggye Stream (천계천). This path is very well maintained and remarkably quiet because the stream is more than 4.6 m below street level. Its green serenity is marked by small waterfalls, water birds such as ducks and herons and nearly a dozen overhead bridges. We will then continue for about 1 kilometer to Dongdaemum. From here we will either use the subway to visit the Cheonggye-cheon’s exhibition of traditional lanterns in celebration of Buddha’s birthday or continue walking along the stream for another 30 minutes to reach the same point.

Ending Point:

  • at 11:00 am  – Dongdaemun subway station line 1, 4
  • at 12:00 pm  – City Hall subway station line 1, 2
