Hanyangdoseong, the Seoul Fortress Wall, is one of the must-dos when living in Seoul! This spring we will hike the complete wall, split into four hikes.

Join SIWA friends for a hike over Bugaksan Mountain from Changuimun Gate to Hyehwamun Gate. This trek is 4.7 km and should take 3 ½ to 4 hours with a lunch break. We will begin with a very steep ascent up the steps of Bugaksan (342m). Following the ridge we will drop down to Sukjeongmun and then emerge onto the city streets walking downhill to Hyehwamun Gate. The Bugaksan Mountain Trail has terrific views and historical points of interest. The hiking is difficult. This section also has security restrictions due to its proximity to the Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House). Each hiker must have a current passport or ARC identification with them and register at the start of the hike.
