Tour: The Hidden Spot around Seoul (1)-Walking Tour

Seoul is surrounded with mountains; some are well known and well travelled but others are not less travelled. The mountain Mabong stood behind the World Cup Stadium and Park and is a short mountain. It is only slightly higher than the World Cup Stadium that sits next to it. This walking tour will ends with exploring the old stockpile oil site.

We all remembered the 1973 oil crisis. In response for this crisis the Korean government built several stockpile oil tanks within the nation. One of the location is near the World Cup Stadium, there are six huge tanks now open to public for various use. The stockpile site of oil in Mapo that changed into the park area. For the past 41 years this area was blocked from the public but in 2017 the stockpile site of oil in Mapo that changed into the cultural performance and park area for public.
